We are a nonprofit that focuses on Central Oregon, with local and statewide policy.  

We work on climate policy, education, and youth work development. Equity is integral to all of our work.  

Join our Electrify Bend Coalition 

In order to reach net zero by 2050, preferably sooner, we need strong, time sensitive climate policies. We organize with youth, businesses and other community stakeholders to encourage the equitable policies we need. Volunteers on this committee also may participate in advocacy for other Oregon State policies for EV charging and electric vehicles, and statewide or local building standards.  

NoGTN Coalition 

The GTN (Gas Transmission Northwest) Pipeline expansion is opposed by Oregon’s Senators, Attorney General and Governor Kotek. It aims to pump 150 million cf of gas into existing pipelines. It is gas we don’t need and will be shipped overseas. Sadly, this massive expansion will derail Oregon’s climate goals that we are working so hard to achieve. 350Deschutes is the lead in Central Oregon, and we join some 30 organizations that work together to stop and/or delay the GTN pipeline expansion through Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.

Equitable EV Planning and Youth Work Development 

Green jobs offer tremendous opportunities. If we are to meet rigorous electrification goals for heat pumps and hot water tanks, we need more trained workers. 350Deschutes is involved in planning for electric vehicles in underserved communities. Volunteers may join us to help as we conduct surveys, meetings, and create educational events with youth, families, schools, and businesses.
