Third Act Oregon (TAO) brings together the political and economic power and wisdom of elder Oregonians tomove the state and local communities toward a more sustainable society and planet.

Saving Our Planet
Over 40% of energy emissions come from our homes and the appliances we use every day, including our cars,heating, water heating, and cooking. We must electrify our lives if we are going to slow down the heating of the planet. Working with other organizations,Third Act Oregon informs Oregonians about how to electrify. We also monitor and advocate for clean and equitable energy policies in Oregon.

Banking on the Future
Third Act is putting pressure on the four largest banks—Citibank, Wells Fargo, Chase, and Bank of America—to stop fundingthe energy infrastructure of the past and to start funding the energy infrastructure of the future.

Protecting Democracy
Anti-democratic forces are curtailing votingrights, gerrymandering voting districts, harassing and intimidating votingofficials, and politicizing the counting and certification of votes. Third Actworks to safeguard our democracy at national, state and local levels.

Our demographic is large, we have a wealth oflife experience, we have huge economic power, and we VOTE. When we put ourvoices together, we are powerful.
